Raw honey naturally has numerous medicinal and healing benefits

Scientifically Studied

The benefits of honey have been known for thousands of years, dating back to ancient Egypt. Whether consumed as a hot drink with lemon or applied as a healing balm, honey can provide endless health benefits.

  • Contains a variety of nutrients.

  • Better for blood sugar levels than regular sugar.

  • Promotes burn and wound healing.

  • Powerful anti-inflammatory effects.

Our Honey Hasn’t Had The Good Stuff Removed

Our high-quality honey is minimally processed, unheated and packaged fresh. This means we keep all of the good stuff in, like bioactive plant compounds and antioxidants, including flavonoids and phenolic acids. Through cold extraction and filtering we don’t damage the properties of the raw honey. Many of our honey’s health benefits are attributed to its antioxidant content, which is naturally higher for Leatherwood and Manuka honey varieties.

You will notice that our honey starts to crystallise when temperatures drop below 10 degrees. This is your guarantee that it is real, unadulterated honey that hasn’t been heat treated or had other additives, like syrup, added to keep it runny on the shelf. To return to liquid state, simply heat slowly in a bowl of warm water to retain the goodness.

Bees play a vital role in maintaining a healthy, sustainable eco-system.

Supporting our Local Food Supply

Bees not only contribute to a heathy eco-system by pollinating native and wild plants, they also play a vital role in keeping our local and global food supply running, by pollinating over 50 agricultural crops. Apple, pear, almond and cherry growers depend almost entirely on bees for their fruit and nut production. Pollination by bees is known to improve both the yield and the quality of the produce. The economic value of honeybees in Australia is estimated at between $8 -$19 billion. Without bees the worlds eco-system would be extremely different and disrupted.
